Territory Manager
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Identify and pursue new business opportunities across solid waste, recycling, and related environmental services.
Conduct site visits and waste assessments to understand customer needs and propose effective service solutions.
Prepare pricing, proposals, and contract renewals that support profitable growth.
Achieve or exceed territory sales targets and contribute to regional growth strategies.
Customer Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
Build strong relationships with clients through proactive communication and regular on-site engagement.
Resolve service concerns quickly by coordinating with operations, dispatch, and customer service teams.
Strengthen customer retention through consistent follow-up, value-added recommendations, and service optimization.
Territory Strategy & Market Development
Develop and execute a comprehensive territory plan aligned with GFL’s business objectives.
Stay informed about regional market conditions, competition, and industry trends.
Attend industry events, community meetings, and networking opportunities to enhance GFL’s visibility in the market.
Operational Collaboration
Partner with internal teams to ensure timely, accurate, and safe delivery of services.
Communicate customer needs, service adjustments, and operational requirements clearly and promptly.
Support service changes, container adjustments, and new account setups through effective coordination with field teams.
Qualifications
Required
1–3 years of territory sales or account management experience (environmental services or waste industry preferred).
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation capabilities.
Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage a large geographic territory.
Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office applications.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly within the assigned region.
Preferred
Experience in waste management, recycling, industrial services, or related environmental fields.
Knowledge of local regulatory requirements and commercial waste operations.
