Summary:

As a key member of GFL’s dynamic team, the Technical Services Coordinator possesses thorough knowledge of hazardous waste and regulations and will assist with the proper and compliant movement of wastes. The chosen individual will professionally represent GFL when dealing with internal employees and on client sites.

Key Responsibilities:
• Vendor management administration and profiling of waste streams
• Assist Sales Staff in completing profiles, manifests, Bills of Lading and any other documentation required to properly ship waste
• Interface with clients to resolve issues relating to any off-spec or other issues related to shipment and treatment of wastes
• Ensuring costs within regional operational program are accurate with review and system update monthly. Update pricing team and LOB Managers if any changes are made.
• Main contact for any waste stream that needs assigned cost and code (technical assistance).
• Main contact for Regulatory questions and assistance within regionally assigned areas
• Spot audits of transport documents for regulatory and pricing accuracy. This will involve all line of business documentation.
• Specialized waste projects as required by management (this may include some field work)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
• Post-Secondary education in environmental sciences, chemistry or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial related settings
• Regulatory and technical knowledge with respect to the hazardous waste industry within the assigned region, hands on field experience in hazardous waste collection and disposal
• Willingness to work longer hours or weekends occasionally as business demands
• Vaild Driver's License
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong computer skills, Google Workspace preferred
• Exceptional communication skills
• Planning and organizational skills
• Ability to analyze and solve problems independently and in a team environment
