Service Coordinator, Recycling and Waste Management Services

Role Summary:
The Service Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the required personnel and equipment for maximum efficiency while exceeding our safety and service requirements for the management of the removal of hazardous / industrial waste from our clients’ sites. As the main point of contact between GFL and our customers, the Service Coordinator will have exceptional communication skills with an eye for detail and understanding of the work performed within the division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of all inbound and outbound customer calls including the scheduling of customer call-in’s based on scheduling parameters
- Management of pre-scheduled time interval waste pickups
- Generate all required service orders, waste manifests, supporting documents and send to personnel
- Facilitate all personnel activities and requirements for their duties
- Finalize all invoices for submission to clients
- Liaison with facility operations regarding waste requirements and supplies
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Waste management industry experience
- Understanding of applicable Dangerous Goods and Environmental Regulations
- Understanding the transportation industry (hours of service, types of trucks, etc)
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Passion for working in a fast paced environment
- Computer literate and Tech-Savvy
- Proficient in Google Workspace (Google Sheets, Gmail, Google Docs, etc) and adept at learning to use proprietary softwares
- Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract.
