Project Coordinator, Specialized Services and Emergency Response
Position Summary
The Project Coordinator (PC) will be a key part of the specialized services and emergency response British Columbia operations. The primary function will be to bridge the gap between field operations and finance. Further requirements will include supporting the operations manager with project preparation, research, planning, subcontractor tracking, obtaining purchase orders, expense allocations, and more. In addition, the PC will support emergency response teams often filling the role of homebase coordinator.
Key Accountabilities
Provide technical support to specialized services and emergency response teams in British Columbia.
Receive daily LEMs and/or time summaries from the field. Review the data and update daily financials.
Compile documentation in preparation for project execution.
Compile field documentation on daily basis while updating project files and providing customer updates.
Obtain GFL POs and provide to sub contractors
Request and receive sub contractor invoices while updating project files.
Review input costs vs approved contracts and confirm accuracy before releasing files to accounting for invoicing.
Fulfill the role of homebase coordinator supporting emergency response operations including: generating incident numbers, opening incident files, delivering agreements, setting up cost summaries for financial tracking, and more.
Occasionally working on project or incident locations supporting field operations.
Compiling data for completion of closure reporting.
Requirements, Skills, and Attributes
Experience and knowledge in environmental industry.
Experience and knowledge of heavy equipment and overall industrial services.
Experience and knowledge surrounding WHMIS controlled products and chemistry.
Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
Strong leadership with ability to motivate team members while focusing on the overall success of the group.
Be available outside of regular business hours from time to time to support emergency response operations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong ability to plan, prioritize and execute.
Strong organization skills and ability to multi task in a fast paced work environment.
Excellent team player while putting team success ahead of personal accomplishment.
