A “Day in the Life" of a pre-employment specialist:

  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry such as documenting notes, updating statuses in the recruiting tool, updating spreadsheets, and completing weekly reports.
  • Review pre-employment screening, order background checks, drug screenings, and other required pre-employment screening reports while ensuring all searches comply with Company policies & with employment laws.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, employment laws, DOT, and FMCSA regulations during the recruiting and hiring processes.
  • Facilitate a positive candidate experience through attentive communication with internal and external customers, including third-party vendors.
  • Cross-train to assist recruiters and perform additional job-related duties as needed.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • One (1) or more years’ experience of high-volume administrative, human resources, or safety support experience with a High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office with experience in maintaining confidential files and reports.
  • Ability to be a self-starter capable of working effectively in a team environment or as an individual contributor with excellent analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, oral, verbal as well as written with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations will be nice to have.
