Maintenance Manager II

Primary Location:
High Point, North Carolina

The Mission

As our Maintenance Manager II, you aren’t just supervising repairs; you are the architect of uptime. You will lead a dedicated team of technicians and support staff, ensuring that our maintenance programs are executed with precision and that safety is never compromised.

Key Responsibilities (The Heavy Lifting):

  • Lead the Crew: Mentor and develop your shop team. You’ll be responsible for scheduling, performance management, and fostering a culture of excellence.

  • Command the Shop: Direct all maintenance activities, from routine PMs to major overhauls, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

  • Safety Champion: Own the safety culture in the shop. Conduct training, enforce PPE standards, and ensure every bolt is tightened and every inspection is perfect.

  • Operational Synergy: Work hand-in-hand with the Operations team to prioritize equipment repairs and minimize downtime for our routes.

  • Inventory & Vendor Mastery: Manage parts inventory and build strong relationships with external vendors to keep the supplies flowing and costs in check.

  • Compliance Expert: Ensure all fleet records and shop operations meet DOT, OSHA, and environmental regulations.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • The Foundation: High School Diploma or GED (Required).

  • The Credentials: DOT certification for air brake inspection and a valid CDL (or the drive to get one within 6 months).

  • The Experience: Substantial supervisory experience in a heavy-duty truck maintenance environment. You know your way around a diesel engine and a leadership meeting.

  • Tech Fluency: Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience using fleet management software (like TMW or JDEdwards) to track work orders and assets.

  • The Mindset: A problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and leads with a "Safety First, Quality Always" attitude.
