Maintenance Cleaner
GFL Environmental is looking for a Maintenance Cleaner for Western Canada's largest Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) in Calgary, AB!
This is a night shift position. The shift runs from 9:00pm - 5:30am.
Safely assist Mechanics and other shop personnel in daily responsibilities around the bays or as directed by Supervisor/Manager. To work in cooperation with the Plant Manager aiding in the repairs/maintenance of all aspects of the operating system at the EWSWA MRF to ensure optimal system performance.

Requirements:
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License
• Mechanically inclined individual.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Plant Manager to ensure assigned tasks are completed promptly. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Daily cleaning of screens and shafts.
- Daily cleaning of accumulation around all screens.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the facility and work areas.
- Cleaning up outside around bins and the compactor while the system is running.
- Cleaning specialty equipment.
- Performing preventative maintenance and inspections.
- Conducting system mechanical repairs.
- Managing inventory and tracking critical spare parts.
- Prioritize and adjust assignments as needed to ensure timely project completion and minimize potential downtime.
- Perform system maintenance according to priority sequence and address emergency repairs as required.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management.
