Laborer
Key Responsibilities
Clean and maintain work areas to ensure a safe and organized environment
Fuel vehicles and equipment as required
Operate heavy equipment as needed
Clean tracks on track-type and related equipment
Perform yard maintenance, including mowing and litter removal
Operate general site vehicles and equipment such as water trucks, pickup trucks, sweepers, mowers, and trimming equipment
Direct site traffic as necessary to ensure safety
Perform general office maintenance and repairs, including painting and janitorial duties
Work in compliance with Company policies and federal, state/provincial, and local safety regulations
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
Requirements
High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required
Must meet Company standards for safety-sensitive functions
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to read, write, perform basic math calculations, and communicate effectively
Ability to follow instructions and work with limited supervision
Ability to safely operate required equipment
Strong common-sense reasoning and problem-solving skills
Physical & Mental Demands
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift in an outdoor environment up to 90% of the time
Must be able to use hands and fingers, kneel, crawl, climb, balance, talk, and hear
Visual abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
Ability to lift up to 65 pounds regularly
Ability to push/move up to 100 pounds with assistance
Working Conditions
Frequent exposure to loud noise, humidity, rain, storms, extreme heat and cold (seasonal), moving mechanical parts, vibrations, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, and airborne particles
Work performed outdoors up to 100% of the time
Routinely works away from branch location throughout the day
Occasional work in high or precarious places
Constant exposure to motor vehicle traffic
Work environment is typically loud
