The Role
We are looking for a talented Financial Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for acting as the bridge between accounting data and strategic business insights, ensuring the integrity of the General Ledger, and optimizing financial reporting systems. You will work closely with Business Unit (BU) Leaders and external auditors to provide the clarity needed to drive operational performance and maintain GAAP compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Controllership & Month-End Support: Manage and audit the chart of accounts, oversee the review and reconciliation of complex GL activity, and design/maintain the monthly accounting closing schedule to ensure all BUs meet reporting deadlines.
Quality Assurance & Audit Liaison: Prepare journal entries and reconciliations with robust supporting documentation. Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, managing request lists and resolving accounting inquiries.
Performance Consolidation & Business Partnership: Consolidate monthly/quarterly financial results across multiple BUs, highlighting trends and variances. Act as a dedicated finance liaison for BU Managers to translate financial results into actionable operational decisions.
Reporting Architecture: Lead the development of automated, standard, and ad-hoc reporting packages using TM1 to reduce manual data manipulation.
Planning, Modeling & Forecasting: Serve as the primary finance lead for the annual budgeting cycle using zero-based budgeting methodologies to challenge historical spending. Maintain monthly and quarterly rolling forecasts that incorporate real-time market shifts.
Executive Commentary: Translate complex financial variances into clear narratives for monthly management discussions and manage both short and long-term accounting projects.
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
Experience: 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience, with 1-2 years of advanced experience with financial reporting systems.
Education: Four-year degree in Accounting; relevant accounting designation (CPA) is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
Technical Skills: High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Advanced Excel). Strong understanding of GAAP and current accounting practices.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex data into clear narratives.
Bonus Points: 1-2 years of experience with TM1 Administration is preferred.
Physical/Mental Demands: Ability to work in an indoor office environment; includes extended periods of sitting, moderate noise levels, and standard visual requirements for close-up data analysis.
