Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Operate Heavy Equipment: Safely handle and operate various equipment—including forklifts, bobcats, backhoes, track hoes, compactors, and skid steers—to bale, load, and move waste material.
Daily Maintenance: Perform pre-trip inspections and daily maintenance checks. Grease, lubricate, and top off fluids daily to keep the equipment running smooth.
Site Groundkeeping: Clear trash and debris from heavy equipment tracks and gears at least once daily. Maintain the overall appearance of the facility grounds.
Team Communication: Use a two-way radio to stay in constant contact with dispatch, yard crews, and management regarding daily priorities and safety.
Flexibility: Be ready to step in and substitute for other equipment operators to keep the site moving when needed.
Safety First: Follow all company safety procedures, federal/state regulations, and wear required PPE (safety shoes, high-visibility gear, and eye protection) at all times.
🗓️ Work Schedule & Hours
Shift: Monday through Friday Occasional Saturdays
Hours: 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Steady Schedule: Enjoy consistent daytime hours with your weekends off.
Overtime: Standard work week with regular, predictable overtime built into the schedule (up to 55 total hours per week).
Working Conditions & Physical Demands
100% Outdoor Environment: Built for those who love working outside. You will be operating out of a heavy equipment covered cab but exposed to all daily weather conditions.
Physical Grit: Must be able to comfortably lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds frequently, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. This includes climbing, kneeling, and bending around heavy machinery.
The Yard Environment: Constant exposure to standard industrial elements like loud noises, moving mechanical parts, vibrations, and airborne dust particles.
