Construction Sales Account Manager B2B

Primary Location:
Chesapeake, Virginia

The Opportunity

Are you a hunter with a deep-rooted network in the construction or industrial sectors? We are looking for a high-energy Account Manager to dominate the local market. This isn’t just a "sales job"—it’s an opportunity to manage a multi-million dollar portfolio while aggressively expanding our footprint in the construction line of business. If you speak the language of contractors, project managers, and site superintendents, you’ll find a home here.

Impact & Responsibilities

  • Strategic Territory Ownership: Develop and execute a clinical sales strategy to acquire high-value construction and industrial accounts.

  • Consultative Selling: Go beyond the "transaction." Act as a strategic partner to your clients, offering specialized waste and environmental solutions that keep their jobsites compliant and efficient.

  • Portfolio Growth & Retention: Manage, retain, and "upsell" within an existing book of business, ensuring we are the primary provider for all their service needs.

  • Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of the curve by tracking local development projects, competitive shifts, and infrastructure trends to position our services first.

  • High-Level Networking: Represent the brand at trade shows, Chamber of Commerce events, and industry-specific associations to build a powerful referral engine.

Why You’re a Great Fit

  • Industry Veteran: You have 2+ years of experience in the solid waste industry or a related industrial field (construction, logistics, heavy equipment).

  • Proven Closer: You have a verifiable track record of exceeding revenue quotas and "hunting" new business in a B2B environment.

  • Relationship Architect: You excel at building rapport with both the "boots on the ground" at the jobsite and the "suits in the office" making procurement decisions.

  • Self-Starter Mentality: You thrive in high-stress, fast-paced environments and don't need a map to find the next big opportunity.

The Essentials

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).

  • Skills: Mastery of negotiation, organizational excellence, and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing market.

  • Physicality: Willingness to perform site visits and engage directly with operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Compensation: Base salary + Uncapped commission as % of revenue

  • Full Benefits: Comprehensive package including health, dental, and retirement options.

  • Autonomy: The freedom to run your territory like your own business, backed by the resources of an industry leader.

Nous vous remercions de l’intérêt que vous nous portez. Seuls seront contactés les candidats sélectionnés pour une entrevue.
