Construction Account Manager – GFL Environmental in Rocky View County.
GFL Environmental is looking for a driven and customer-focused Construction Account Manager to join our team! If you’re passionate about building strong relationships, uncovering opportunities, and making a real impact in the construction industry, this role is for you. You’ll be responsible for managing and growing a book of business specifically within the construction sector, promoting GFL’s solid waste services, and delivering customized solutions that meet your clients’ evolving job site needs.

What You’ll Do:
Manage and grow a portfolio of construction clients, including homebuilders, developers, and general contractors.
Prospect and close new business opportunities within your assigned territory.
Develop a strong understanding of construction timelines, site service requirements, and industry-specific needs.
Conduct job site visits, safety walkthroughs, and consult with site supervisors to provide tailored solutions.
Negotiate contracts and pricing, and execute service agreements.
Maintain a pulse on local market conditions and competitor offerings.
Work closely with Operations and Customer Service teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Represent GFL at construction and trade industry events, networking functions, and client meetings.
Achieve and exceed monthly revenue growth and customer retention targets.
What You Bring:
Experience: 2+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably within the solid waste, construction, or industrial services industry.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or a related field is an asset.
Construction Knowledge: Familiarity with the unique needs of construction clients and job site logistics is a strong asset.
Relationship Builder: Proven ability to build trust with clients and maintain long-term partnerships.
Strong Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Highly Organized: Skilled at managing time, priorities, and multiple projects simultaneously.
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using CRM systems and reporting tools.
Valid Driver’s License: Travel within the territory is required.
